so the question was what can i do about the “rock star drummers” at such and such event?  and my answer was, don’t invite ‘em.  before you get all up in my business about that there’s some things i want to point out.  SO:  there’s two reasons to try and play lead on drums.  One is to exalt the community,the otheris to exalt the ego. there’s two reasons to tryand facilitate a drum circle. One is to exalt the community, the other is to exalt the ego. A lead drummer exalting the community listens and finds a way to play “between the cracks” in the community composite rhythm....
